"Women as Trees"
An exciting new series featured from the gallery, Women as Trees explores the similarity between the reaction of trees and women to the elements of their respective environments.
These pieces are pen and ink drawings on 100% cotton fabric that have been painted and detailed using acrylic-based fabric paints.
Metallic paints were added to create sheen and to add depth. The backrgrounds were painted in these same paints.
Layered with cotton batting and machine quilted, they are bound and fitted with a hanging sleeve and rod and are thus completely ready to hang.
